My 'FRIENDS' (with apostrophes...)

WARNING!

Big spoiler

Not for those who are easily bored by bullshit!

(Disclaimer: None of these are my my original artworks)

This post is actually dedicated to my friend, Syah-Bana. She wrote in her post that she had a horse as friend. I find it true. I mean, our friends don't need to be human.

I have some 'friends' who aren't humans. You want to know?
I think that you all will be soooooooo..... shocked that you will jumped out of your skin. So, prepare yourself...

My friends, to be honest, are
...
... ...
... ... ...
Blink-blink... 0.o

Waiting long enough, eh? Have you well-prepared enough for this?

Okay, my 'friends' are...
SOME CHARACTERS FROM GAME
!!!!!

Mwahahahahahaha.....
I'm happy I can make you all surprised
(It's actually obvious. Just look at the picture on the left upper side of this post... =P)

Dumbfounded... @.@
.... ...
...

Okay, you may think that I'm crazy, especially after knowing that I'm a pyromaniac, am I right?

Well, to be honest, I don't have so many good friends or soulmates. So yeah, slowly but sure, those 'humans' I meet from game become my 'friends'.

Hmmm... Now I'm talking about my 'friends' (ARG! Enough with this apostrophes! What's so wrong with having friends with those from games?) from my favorite game ever and forever, Dynasty Warriors. You want me to show you about my friends? Well, I searching for a video about them in YouTube and finally I found a funny one! Hey, I never thought that my friends are so famous

{"Tee-hee... of course they are famous, you pyromaniac idiot!"}
Okay, that's you. I don't care if I'm a pyromaniac idiot or something like that...

Uh... I mean, yes, they are famous and it is undoubted.

(Nyyaaah... this isn't my work. You can find the source HERE! Credited to Phat139 for the awesome video. Okay, don't sue...)

Unfortunately, these are from Dynasty Warriors 6. I don't find any from Dynasty Warriors 5. Okay, everybody! Let me introduced my friends to you all! (OMG... it would be a long explanation....). Now, start from 00:18!

First of all, not only my friends, but it has already happened to be a part of my families. And that's from the KINGDOM of WU!!!!!
(standing applause...)

00:18-00:19
The boy who appeared at the first time, jumping merrily, is Lu Xun. Thinking about it, since he is my favorite character, he become my closest friend too!

00:19-00:33
Then, it was four man, dancing with a funny move. From the left, it's Lu Meng (yeah, don't say you don't know him yet. He is Lu Xun's teacher, remember?). Then it's Ling Tong (Gan Ning's sworn brother whose father was killed by Gan Ning himself). Then, the shortest one is... of course it Lu Xun! And the most right is Gan Ning (the ex-pirate who later joined Wu and became Ling Tong's brother).

00:34-00:39
Next, it was two girl, wearing the exactly same clothes. They look like twins. They are the Qiao's sister. Okay. Who are they? They were said to be the most beautiful girls in China that time. It said that their beauty shone brighter than any moon or stars and put the most beautiful flower to shame. The girl on the left is Da Qiao, the older among the two and the other is Xiao Qiao.

00:40-00:45
Next, it was two man. Yep, you might think that the one with the high pony-tail is girl. But HE isn't. HE is a MAN. The girly-looking man is Zhou Yu and the other one is Sun Ce. They were also a sworn brothers like Gan Ning and Ling Tong. But since their story wasn't as interesting as Gan Ning's and Ling Tong's, I put theirs instead. (just for information, Zhou Yu was another Lu Xun's teacher when Sun Ce was, ACTUALLY, Lu Xun's father-in-law >)

00:46-00:55
Then, the next was the formation of Sun Ce - Da Qiao - Xiao Qiao - Zhou Yu. Yep. Da Qiao was Sun Ce's wife (that makes Da Qiao was Lu Xun's mother-in-law) when Xiao Qiao was Zhou Yu's wife.

00:56
The next (in the very short period of time) is Taishi Ci with the funny-looking triangle hat. He was another good friend of Sun Ce but wasn't as close as Zhou Yu. Oh, and they started by being a rival as well (a rival, not enemy). Next to Taishi Ci is Huang Gai. He was a veteran warrior and why he is holding a bomb is beyond my knowledge. I'm quite sure that in that period, bomb hasn't been invented yet.

00:57-01:07
Next, from the left, it is Sun Shang Xiang, Sun Quan, and Zhou Tai. Oh, crap! Forget to tell you. Have you realized the name Sun Ce, Sun Quan, and Sun Shang Xiang? They both had the same family name. It's Sun. Yeah. They were siblings. I mean they were REAL siblings, not just sworn. Sun Ce was the oldest, then it was Sun Quan, then Sun Shang Xiang. Sun Quan was the first Wu Emperor. Okay, why not Sun Ce became the first emperor since he was the oldest? The answer is Sun Ce didn't live long enough when Wu was finally declared as a new Kingdom, so Sun Quan was the first emperor. In fact, Sun Ce died at the age of 26. Sun Quan outlived him a lot. That's about the Sun siblings. Then, who's Zhou Tai? Zhou Tai was Sun Quan most-trusted bodyguard.

01:08-01:09
Next is Sun Jian and Liu Bei. Forget about Liu Bei first. Sun Jian is the one who wears red clad. He, once again, had Sun as the family name. Yep. Sun Jian was Sun Ce's, Sun Quan's, and Sun Shang Xiang's father. He too, didn't live long enough just like his oldest son. He died at the age of 36.

WOOOOT!!!! Wu has so many friendship relation doesn't it? That's why the kingdom I like most is Wu

Okay, I'm trying to tell you the every realtionship each character has:
  1. Sun Ce & Sun Quan & Sun Shang Xiang: Sun siblings
  2. The three Sun sibling and Sun Jian: Children and father
  3. Sun Jian and Huang Gai: Master and (the most) loyal subordinate
  4. Zhou Yu and Sun Ce: Sworn brothers
  5. Sun Ce and Da Qiao: Husband and wife
  6. Zhou Yu and Xiao Qiao: Husband and wife
  7. Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao: Sisters
  8. Sun Ce and Taishi Ci: War comrades (also a good rival, but a good friend too)
  9. Sun Quan and Zhou Tai: Master and bodyguard
  10. Sun Ce and Lu Xun: Father-in-law and son-in-law
  11. Da Qiao and Lu Xun: Mother-in-law and son-in-law
  12. Zhou Yu and Lu Xun: Teacher and student
  13. Lu Meng and Lu Xun: Teacher and student (That makes Zhou Yu-Lu Meng-Lu Xun: fellow strategists)
  14. Gan Ning and Ling Tong: Sworn brothers
  15. Lu Meng, Lu Xun, Ling Tong, and Gan Ning: Casual friends and also war comrades
15 relationships?! Damn, so many!!!!

____________________________________________________

Next is..... KINGDOM of SHU!!! Not really my favorite but yeah, they are cool too.

01:08-01:09

The first one is the Shu Emperor, Liu Bei. Erm, since it isn't about Wu, I won't explain a lot about it.

01:09-01:19
Then, it's Guan Ping and Xing Cai. Who are they? Xing Cai was, according to the real history, Liu Bei's daughter-in-law. But don't know why, in Dynasty Warriors, she is having a slight love relationship with Guan Ping (not true according to the real history though, since Guan Ping was about 19 years older than Xing Cai)

01:20
Next, the three sworn brother. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei. Their oath in peach garden was, actually, quite famous. If you're a bit of Three-Kingdoms-history freak like me, you can find that their oath was the beginning of the Three Kingdoms period. Well, although they were the most famous, I'm not a Shu-ist (it means a person who likes Shu most). I'm a Wu-ist so I won't spend my time here explaining a lot about them.

01:21-01:31
The next three is Jiang Wei, Zhao Yun, and Ma Chao. They didn't have any relationship actually. Jiang Wei is far younger than both. Well, Zhao Yun and Ma Chao did have a relationship. They were simply the famous Five Tiger General of Shu (I will explain more later).

01:32-01:43
In the first second is a woman. And the next is a man and woman. They are Zhuge Liang and Yue Ying. Who are they? Well, I understand if you don't know Yue Ying. She was Zhuge Liang's wife. But if you don't know Zhuge Liang... well, you'd better leave ASAP. Zhuge Liang was the most brilliant strategist in the Three Kingdoms era. If you don't know yet, watch the 'Battle of Red Cliff' movie. Oh, and he was the MOST famous person from Three Kingdoms Era.

Some of the relation from Shu are just made-up, not according to real history. And that's why they aren't my favorite. Here's the list:
  1. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei: Sworn brothers
  2. Zhao Yun, Ma Chao, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Huang Zhong (not in movie): the Five Tiger General (they are the strongest and the most reliable general from Shu)
  3. Guan Yu and Guan Ping: Step-father and step-son
  4. Zhang Fei and Xing Cai: Father and daughter
  5. Liu bei and Xing Cai: Father-in-law and daughter-in-law
  6. Yue Ying and Zhuge Liang: Husband and wife
  7. Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong (not in movie): Fellow strategists
  8. Zhuge Liang and Jiang Wei: Teacher and student
Not so many, to be honest. And furthermore, none of my concern...

____________________________________________________

Now...now...now... is the infamous
KINGDOM of WEI. I have my own reason for this. First, they simply aren't my favorite. Second, they still simply aren't my favorite. lastly, they will always be simply aren't my favorite. So, you'll meet big spoilers and something like 'meh...' or 'I-don't-care-about-it' stuffs here

01:44-01:54
The first is Zhen Ji and the next is Cao Pi. Zhen Ji was Cao Pi's wife and also the Empress of Wei when Cao Pi was the first Emperor of Wei.

01:55
From the first to the last, that's Cao Ren, Dian Wei, and Xu Zhu. Who are they? Just... just don't give a damn about them. Continue read. If I have enough time to waste, I will explain.

01:56-02:18
WARNING! The chara on the left is MAN! Although he looks like a girl. He was Zhang He, a famous general of Wei. But why the game makes him like a drag queen is, once again, beyond my knowledge. Than, it's Zhang Liao, and on the left is Xu Huang. I don't know why, but on 02:08, Suddenly Zhang Liao disappears and Sima Yi pops up. Okay, Sima Yi is, ACTUALLY, the winner of the Three Kingdoms. Nah, Wei wasn't the winner. It was Sima Family that rule China in the end. And yada... yada...

02:19-02:33
It's Xiahou Dun in the first time (beware, he isn't as cute as he looks in the movie). Then, Xiahou Yuan, Xiahou Dun, Cao Cao, and Cao Pi are dancing all together. Xiahou Yuan was Xiaghou Dun's brother and both Xiahous were Cao Cao's cousin. Oh, and Cao Ren was also Cao Cao's cousin. Cao Pi was Cao Cao's son. Well, Cao Cao didn't live long enough to be emperor so Cao Pi was the first Wei Emperor.

Okay, as usual, the relation...

  1. Cao Cao and Cao Pi: Father and son
  2. Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan: Xiahou brothers
  3. Cao Cao, Cao Ren, and Xiahou brothers: Cousins
  4. Cao Pi and Zhen Ji: Husband and wife
  5. Cao Cao and Dian Wei: Master and bodyguard
  6. Cao Cao and Xu Zhu: Master and bodyguard
  7. Cao Cao and Zhen Ji: Father-in-law and daughter-in-law

The Kingdom with the least relationship. Makes me bored...

____________________________________________________

ARG! And now is the Ronin or you can say 'Other'. Actually, I REALLY don't want to explain, but yeah... here they are...

02:34-02:44
It's Lu Bu. Who is he? He was the strongest warrior in Three Kingdoms Era. There's a saying like this: "Among men, Lu Bu... among horse, Red Hare". Red Hare was Lu Bu's horse. It says that it could run 500 miles per day.

02:45-02:57
The first is Diao Chan. Lu Bu's wife. Then, it's Lu Bu, Diao Chan, and Zhang Liao. Zhang Liao, before working under Cao Cao of Wei, was actually Lu Bu's most trusted subordinate. Nothing much to say...

____________________________________________________

02:59-03:08
Then, all of the characters I have mentioned before appeared once again and meshed into one. Well, if you still don't know them, read my writings above. I'm not going to explain once more.

03:09
It's Xiao Qiao. End of explanation...

Well.... What do you think? You're free to call me a weirdo, but heck, that's the truth. Hope you respect it. Alright. That's for now. I'm tired after writing this so many writings...

Note (just for Ma'am Ing): So sorry that I'm writing a lot of crap, Ma'am. But, you said that I just have to write about 'Friend'. I assume that it's save to say that you allowed any of us to write anything that related to 'Friendship'. Since they are my friends, I think it's okay to write about them.

FRIENDSHIP according to PROVERBS (Bible)

The title looks a bit boring, isn’t it? >o<

No, I’m not gonna preach. I just want to share my experience in the Church about friendship.

Some weeks ago, I was asked to accompany the kids in the Sunday school in the Church so I did it. Since it was the kids that gonna be taught, the topic wasn’t so hard. It was about (guess what?) FRIENDSHIP.

First of all, the Sunday school teacher gave each kids a piece of paper and each of them was written a bible verse (although I’m not a kid, and my job was just to accompany them, the Sunday school teacher gave me a piece of paper too!). That time, I got Proverbs 18:24.

The other verse is:

  • Proverbs 12:26

“The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.”

This verse teaches us that ones should show and lead their friends to follow the right path. The right path is to obey the Lord’s order and not to commit sins.

  • Proverbs 17:9

“He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.”

This verse tells us that a friend shouldn’t remember his friend’s mistake. A friend should forgive and forget the mistakes that his or her friend do. A quote by anonymous says: “A best way to keep a friendship is to bury their mistakes.”

  • Proverbs 17:17

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

It tells us that a true friendship is proved through any situation, condition, and circumstance, and a true friendship is last forever. And a true friend will always listen to us, as if we’re his or her brother or sister. A quote by Plato says: “A true friendship is everlasting and forever.”

  • Proverbs 18:24

“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”

This verse simply tells us that a friend shouldn’t give his or her friend a negative effects to his or her friend, instead, such as the first point, he or she must gave a positive effects to his or her friend.

  • Proverbs 22:24-25

“Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.”

This verse teaches us that as a friend, we shouldn’t be angry at our friend if he or she makes a mistake. Making a mistake is human’s nature after all. No one is completely perfect. Instead we should help our friend if they are in need.

  • Proverbs 27:17

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”

It teaches us that as a friend, we should help each other and build each other in Faith. Thus, God will give us a stronger faith in Christ and a stronger bond of friendship with our fellow. We can apply it by giving support to our friend.

We mustn’t insist our friend to become a good friend such as the Bible said. In fact, we should do it first. We must become a good friend in case we want to make many good friends. And who says it’s easy? It’s hard, you should know. But there’s a story from the Bible that tells us about a really strong friendship. It’s the story about the friendship of David and Jonathan. This is what Bible says about their friendship from 1 Samuel 18:3 “Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.” Furthermore, read 2 Samuel 1:26 “I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.” This was what David lamented when he heard that his friend, Jonathan, killed in a battle against Philistim.

As a closing, the Sunday school teacher wrote this in the board:

"FORGIVE each other

REFRESH each other

INVEST IN each other

ENCOURAGE each other

NURTURE each other

DEPEND ON each other

SHARE each other

HELP each other

INSPIRE each other

PRAY each other"

And, as a Sunday school usually do when the class is over, we prayed.

According to Chinese History... WHAT IS FRIEND?

Hello! It’s Devina (yet again…). Getting bored with my boring name? You can call me Pyromaniac if you want to...
(Tee-hee... It's my nickname in I-net and I'm REALLY a PYROMANIAC, you know...)

Here, as I've promised, I want to discuss again about Friendship.

As I've told you before, I want to tell you a friendship based on this game, or based on the REAL HISTORY. Well, is this related to friendship? Yes, must say. Let me tell you this first. Well, not like the previous post, this isn't a FanFiction. This is a true story! A real interesting story about friendship of two warriors. Guess who? Look at this picture. This is the Chibi Version of the 2 warriors character. Do you notice something? Yes! They are fighting, but the in the lower is written ‘FRIEND’. What’s this mean?

This will need a rather long explanation. (So, I suggest you take your popcorn and coffee, plus turn on you MP3 player so you wont get bored). The one with the spiky hair named Gan Ning. The other one, the one with the high ponytail called Ling Tong. This is their story:

Ling Tong was an officer under Sun Quan, Wu Kingdom’s Emperor when Gan Ning was a former pirate recruited by Sun Quan’s enemy, Huang Zu. One they, Sun Quan declared war against Huang Zu. In the batltle, a tragedy happened. Ling Tong’s father, Ling Cao, was killed by Gan Ning. Ling Tong then swore revenge on Gan Ning and he tried to kill Gan Ning.

(Note: I show you this picture just for fun so you don't get bored! I know it's Japanese but I'm sure you know what that means, right? If you don't understand, just simply skip the picture.)

Unfortunately, when Huang Zu was finally defeated, Lu Meng, Sun Quan’s head strategist, promoted Gan Ning and proposed to Sun Quan to make him one of their officers. Sun Quan decided to take Gan Ning as his officer. That made Ling Tong more and more furious.

One day, in a banquet, Ling Tong nearly killed Gan Ning. Luckily, Lu Meng separate them from each other. Since then, Lu Meng and his apprentice, Lu Xun, tried to ensure Ling Tong to forget his past and make friend with Gan Ning.

Several times later, the two joined another battle. In short, Gan Ning’s ambush was a complete success. Their strategy worked well due to his effort. Both Sun Quan, Lu Meng and Lu Xun praised him. That made Ling Tong envied him. The next day, he asked permission from Sun Quan to lead the attack. And Sun Quan gave him permission.

When Ling Tong finally arrived at the enemy headquarters, the enemy general challenged him for one-on-one battle. Ling Tong accepted the challenge and they fought. Suddenly, the enemy reinforcement arrived and one of the troops shot and arrow. It struck Ling Tong’s horse. In that critical time, another arrow shot the enemy general and he died. Ling Tong was saved, but he didn’t have any idea who had shot the arrow.

When he finally got to his camp, he guessed that it might be Lu Meng or Lu Xun who helped him. He asked Lu Meng about it and Lu Meng told him that it was Gan Ning who had helped him. Since then, Ling Tong realized his mistake and apologized to Gan Ning for thinking him as his nemesis. Both of them forgave each other and they finally became a good friend. They even swore an oath of brotherhood.

Several years after, Lu Meng had passed away and Lu Xun succeeded the position of head strategist. The next year, a massive army of foreign kingdom attacked their Kingdom. Lu Xun, as the head strategist, ordered Wu trusted officers, Ling Tong and Gan Ning, to repel them. Lu Xun had no knowledge that Gan Ning was sick that time. But, instead of telling Lu Xun, Gan Ning forced himself to go to the battle. And, Gan Ning killed in the battle. Ling Tong was so grieving at his sworn-brother’s death. After that battle, Ling Tong was never mentioned anymore. It seemed that he committed suicide after that. Lu Xun, finding out about this, utterly regretted and mourned at the two brothers’ demise.

Well, I have another Chibi picture. (Tee-hee... I like chibi pictures! They look so cute :3) The boy in front, holding two swords, is Lu Xun. The man with the spiky hair on the left side is Gan Ning. The man in the middle with the brown hair and wearing armor is Lu Meng. In the right side is Ling Tong.

Hey, that’s a really interesting story, isn’t it? I mean, how can two enemies ended up as friends? Don’t you find this is a bit funny? But, in fact, it has happened. Gan Ning killed Ling Tong’s father at first, but later he saved Ling Tong. Thinking about the two, don’t you think FORGIVENESS is an important essence to make build a friendship? I don’t have any experience of having a friend who was my former enemy, so that’s why I tell you about this story. Oh, and this is a TRUE story. There are many more stories about it. Forgiveness can change your enemy to your friend, and this might be the strongest foundation of all king of friendship. So, forgive someone you hate and never recall any of his/her mistakes. Who knows someday he/she will be your best friend? No one knows…

Anyway, I’m going to play ‘Dynasty Warriors’ now! If I found any interesting thing in this game, I surely will tell you.

Anyway, talking about Dynasty Warriors, I currently write a fan-fiction story about this game. Please visit! And after you read, don't forget to give some review, okay? http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4379071/1/When_the_Door_Unlocked But, once again, my fan-fiction is historycally incorrect...

NOTE: All of this picture isn't my original work, I simply found it in Google search and Photo Bucket.

Father Loves Me... No, He Loves Me Not...

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening, everyone! How're you? Fine?

Well, this article is about family! But I won't simply just mumbling about how to make a good relationship between your family or something like that. Because the answer is: I don't think that we can make a good relationship with our family by our own effort merely, it's need every family's members effort to create a nice family. Besides, I'm not a psychologist nor a counselor.

And... what do you think about the title? Heck, it's not about me! I DO know that my father loves me. So... who do you think the person is? Who says this?

Okay, it will be a bit boring and confusing for those who haven't known yet. Do you know a game called Dynasty Warriors? Certainly I don't want to make you spend your precious time by reading a long explanation about the game. It will take forever. So, just simply read the text next to the left with the tittle 'A LITTLE EXPLANATION ABOUT MY FAV GAME'.
I read a FanFiction about this game. Well, a FanFiction is a story tells about another fictional story. But it's not made by the original creator, instead it's created by the fanatics. If you find my explanation is not clear enough, read HERE! The FanFiction is about my favorite character, Lu Xun! WOW!!!!

And here goes the fun! (I mean the synopsis...)

Lu Xun, an officer of Wu was captured by Wei Kingdom. Well, you must already know what if a force could capture an enemy. They tortured him and did everything to extract information from him. But he kept his mouth shut.

Well, what does it do with family? Okay. Let me tell you.

One day, the Wei army advanced toward a village called Wujun. That place was, in fact, Lu Xun's first home before he had joined Wu. In that place was Lu Xun's father, Lu Jun. Lu Jun was the leader of Wujun. As an information, Lu Xun's mother had passed away when he was very young.

Okay, this is the part when the story really begin:

Cao Cao, the Emperor of Wei, insist Lu Jun to give up the village for his own troops. And, as you've predicted, Lu Jun refused. But, upon seeing his son, and Cao Cao threatened him to kill Lu Xun, he finally gave up the city. And... when Cao Cao finally got the city, he ordered his troops to take Lu Jun to the forest and kill him there. In the end, however, Lu Jun miraculously survived.

And, what's the problem? You can simply say that he loved his son so much.

That's what I though at first, but when I further read the story, I become insure about that. The reason why Lu Xun worked under Wu was that he had ran away from home and had no choice other than to serve under Wu Kingdom. He ran away from home because his father often treated him badly and trained him so hard that he never had chance to play or do anything like other children of his age when he was just a little boy. His father insisted him to train with his sword so he would be a strong person.

(Well... well... Actually I want to show you a picture of Lu Xun and his father. But, heck, haven't found any fan-art of it. The boys in the middle is Lu Xun. The purple-haired man is Zhang He, a Wei officer who captures Lu Xun. The man in red clad, brings a sword is Zhou Yu, Lu Xun's teacher and also Wu's main strategist. This picture is, however, is DW3, not DW5. My favorite game is Dynasty Warriors 5, not 3.)

That's the story. If you want to know the complete version of the story, you can read HERE! But, I want to remind you that since it is a FanFiction, it's historically incorrect. For example, Lu Xun is supposed to be an orphan since a very young age. And as information, according to the game Lu Xun is 17 years old, so I assume that he is also 17 years old in this FanFiction. Lu Xun's original name, however, Lu Yi, was correct according to the history.

Well, now you get the point don't you? I mean, I tried to figure out about whether Lu Jun really loved his son or not. It's confusing, really. Just think, if he really loved his son, he shouldn't had treated him badly, should he? What I think is that he didn't love his son. Other people opinions, however, are utterly different from mine. I've asked my mother, my cousin, and some of my friends. But they DO have the same opinion. They said that Lu Jun really loved his son. It's confusing! If he didn't love his son, then why should he give up his city and even himself? But if he really loved his son, then why had he treated Lu Xun badly in his early childhood? I don't really have anything to discuss. But, what do you think? Do you have the same thought as me or as my mom, cousins, and friends? This is not he first one. Almost every father-son relationship is usually confusing. The problem is that not only a father was extremely busy for sparing his time with his children, it's also about men's nature. A mother can say "I love you" to her children much easier than a father can do. This is the problem... What do you think about that? Have any idea? If you have any, I will be glad if you want to tell me via comment. Thanks!

Gosh... I'm still curious of what happen next. Yep, the story is still in-progress, but I think it had been discontinued. Well, I have another picture of it. Nah, this doesn't do anything with this post actually. It's Lu Meng, Gan Ning, and of course, the oh-so-cute-looking Lu Xun is there too! Who's Lu Meng and Gan Ning? We'll see in the next post! The most important thing is... it's about FRIENDSHIP! Our tedious yet still interesting topic!

Adventure in SAAT

Hiya, friends! It’s (guess who?!) Devina!
Just to let you know, my favorite color is orange! So, from now on, let's use orange!

Well, now I want to share my experience in traveling!

But, heck, it’s not a real TRAVELING, after all. It’s just visiting. But I think VISITING is a part of TRAVELING too! So, yeah, here it goes!

Guess where I went to!

Alright, just to the point. At 17 August 2008 (heck, this is supposed to be Indonesian Independence Day) to 18 August 2008, some of my churchmates and me were having a… what’s that… let’s just say that we were having a small and short-period bible camp. It was on Malang.

In our way back to Surabaya, we visited this place called ‘SAAT’. Oh well, don’t pretend that you don’t know SAAT, okay? It’s the university where you can study Christian theology. In the other word, it’s a place where some Christians who are called by God do be a priest study in. in Indonesian, it’s ‘SEMINARI ALKITAB ASIA TENGGARA’.

First of all, we park our car and get off from the oh-so-bloody-boring-and-crowded car. Well, what do you think? Of course it must be the first thing everybody does when they arrive somewhere, right? Crap, the parking area was so damn big! We can have a football field there.

Then, the next thing we did is… as usual, take a picture of ourselves in front of the enterance. Hey, it’s not like we’re some loony narcists. But we have to at least record this special event, don’t we? Tee-hee, we took 2 pictures. I was the one standing on the very right, wearing green t-shirt and a strange-looking yellow hat (if you don’t know yet, that’s my favorite hat. Hey, I like wearing hat!). Look, behind us was a big globe. It’s not looking very good in my picture due to the inability of the camera to picture a good photo. But if you see it by yourself, you’ll see how detailed it was.

After taking pictures of ourselves, we entered the building. Sadly, the security didn’t allow us to use the main entrance so we used the left side entrance instead (CURSE THAT SECURITY! ooops.. no cursing...). This is the picture of the left side of the building.

Honestly I didn’t take many photos compared to my other friends. I just take three pictures. The first was my picture with the living room as the back ground. And the second is the most useless and worthless one. It was the lamp. Hey, but you should admit that the lamp’s design was beautiful, wasn’t it? And the last picture is me, standing in front of a statue of Jesus Christ washing one of His disciples’ feet, probably Peter. Under the statue was a writing ‘TO SERVE NOT TO BE SERVED’. Well, I’m not gonna preach on this thing so you’d better read John 13:1-17 if you want to know about it. Oh, and the reason why I using the same pose (yeah, the so famous peace pose) for the 2 pictures and why I took the photo of a lamp, only God knows. To be honest, I also don’t know why.

Then, we exited the building. These two pictures is the view of the building from the back side. Seeing this beautiful view, we can’t fight our will to take another picture. So yeah, the next picture is some of my friends and I, still using my hat. Oh, and if you are curious about was statue behind us was, it was a statue of Jesus Christ when He helped the doubtful Peter out of the stormy sea. If you want to know more, see Matthew 14:22-33.

Before we continued our journey, we took a last glance of the view. This is the view from the opposing side. There was another two buildings and if you saw in the far right was a huge bell.

Our next…ummm…destination was the library. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to enter since the students were studying. Well, nothing much to say other than we SHOULD be very quiet there.

Then, we entered the other building. Yes, the one with the writings ‘SOLUS CHRISTUS’ and ‘SOLI DEO GLORIA’. I forgot to take the picture of the first floor. But I managed to take one on the second floor. This is the canteen. From there we could take a better look of the first building.

Still from the second floor, we looked down and found a small pond there. And, as usual, we ended up taking another picture…

We continued our journey. But, since we all were getting very tired, the tour didn’t went as interesting as before. This is a picture of a really bigass building, which I didn’t know the function. It’s so big that I couldn’t take all of it.

Furthermore, we found the student dormitories. They were all had a minimalist design, but I should admit they were beautiful. The only thing that bothered me was that ALL of the dorms have the same design! Hey, were they out of idea when they designed them?

Oh well, it was time to end our journey. We went back to the car park. We use that way, under the white ceiling but still outdoor. Maybe to prevent the rain from wetting the people.

And, these are another view I saw there. I took the pictures because I think they were simply beautiful. No specific nor detailed information, though. I’ve told you much enough. Oh, crap, why always there was a tree to cover the good view, eh?

Thinking about all of this, I think the university was built in Malang, far away from large town such as Surabaya, to make more peaceful circumstance and situation. Yeah, it was so quiet and peaceful. More like a villa but much quieter. But I enjoyed it though. I don’t know whether it was only my suggestive or it was really true, I really felt God’s presence there. Maybe they arrange the building to be like that so the students can feel that God is everywhere around them, to protect them from doing sin.

Then, after we reached the car park, we got on our car and left the place. So do I now! Bye! See you!
